In this video, Jesse from the Healing Project OC discusses how Cannabis Oil can affect the potency of prescription drugs. While most drugs do not interact negatively with cannabis, Jesse talks about how there are some that may increase or decrease the effectiveness of the drug when taken with cannabis oil. This is sometimes known as The Grapefruit Effect, as it is something commonly seen when mixing certain human drugs with grapefruit or grapefruit juice. While we would love to suggest that you speak with your vet before mixing cannabis oil and prescription drugs, veterinarians are legally not allowed to discuss cannabis and many have not even learned about the endocannabinoid system as it is a fairly new discovery. As Jesse mentions, this is something that is a personal choice, however the Healing Project's goal is to get your dog off prescription drugs and use cannabis oil instead to get your dog's system into a state of homeostasis or balance, thereby making the drugs unnecessary. Welcome to Episode 5 of the Healing Project Podcast with Jesse and Isabel Ramirez and special guest Sheri Rapp, discussing treating both of her dogs' bone cancers using Cannabis and amputation. In this video we'll be talking with Sheri Rapp about her experience using cannabis to treat both of her dogs, Ben Ben & Ollie, who were diagnosed with Osteosarcoma a.k.a. bone cancer. She talks about her customized diagnosis-specific treatment plan from The Healing Project, as well as the amputation experience she went through with both dogs and how cannabis helped them to heal. She wants to share her story with others so people going through the same difficult situation she went through can see that using cannabis for treating dog bone cancer can work for them as well, and that amputation doesn't stop a dog from enjoying life to the fullest! In both her dogs' cases, an alternative diagnosis was originally suspected, however, in the end both ended up being canine Osteosarcoma, or dog bone cancer. Sheri wants you to know that despite any hesitations you may have about using cannabis to treat dogs with cancer, the sooner you get your dog started on the cannabis protocol, the better a chance you have to help your dog heal! While both of her dogs ended up having a hind leg amputated to stop the cancer before it spread any further, in this video Sheri shows you that just because a dog is missing leg doesn't mean its life is over. Far from it in fact! Her dogs are proof that with the use of cannabis to help with the pain from surgery, reduce inflammation, and to help keep the cancer in remission, dogs can go on living a very normal life on 3 legs! With her positive "Let's do this!" attitude, a good high protein/low carb diet, and the use of a custom cannabis treatment plan from Jesse and Isabel, Sheri got an additional 17 months with Ben Ben, who without amputation and cannabis treatment was given just 2 months to live post diagnosis.
